Profiled Sheets
Our profiled sheets are manufactured in 3 key forms such as IBR (inverted box rib) and the Corrugated (s profile) and WideSpan. Being a competitive market Steelworld Roofing Systems has adapted to the various markets through our capabilities to supply mass quantities of profiled sheets in a variety of finishes and sizes. We are confident in the capacity we have and are able to manufacture to support the needs of the market. We pride our selves in the services we render and relationships we have built over decades of servicing the continent.

IBR Profile
The IBR (inverted box ribbed) type profile is today the most popular profile used in the construction industry. The abbreviation “IBR” stands for inverted box rib. The bold angular appearance of this profile makes it a very attractive choice, but most importantly it has many advantageous characteristics i.e. its strength to weight ratio is designed to provide the most optimum load span consistency, the deep and broad flutes of the IBR profile ensures excellent drainage capacity. As a result it is widely used in numerous sections of the building industry.
Our supply is primarily to the wholesale market and to large construction and development projects. The variety of steel grades and thicknesses are available with our stockist ensuring the end user have access to our IBR roof sheets. IBR roof sheet prices are variable and makes it a selected choice in roofing even on the commercial and industrial sectors as a preferred choice in finishes.
Modern architecture has adopted the IBR profile as a unique and aesthetically pleasing feature on some of the most advance designer structures across the world. A environmentally friendly product the IBR is making a huge impact in modern residential housing structures as well.
Galvanised IBR roof sheets are most common whilst the longer lasting pre-painted options are readily available to the market in variety of colours.
The IBR profile can furthermore be factory cranked, curved and bullnose to a wide range of radii to suit specific requirements. A “stiffening’’ rib can also be ordered in the broad flute of the profile specifically to help with the aesthetical appearance with the removal of oil canning from the broad flute. When using the IBR profile the minimum recommended roof pitch is five degrees for roof slopes in excess of 30 meters. The technical analyses of the IBR profile can be seen below.

Widespan
The Widespan profile is a roofing and cladding profile designed to provide the building industry with an economical alternative to the deeper box rib IBR profile without sacrificing the popular fluted concept so frequently used in modern architecture.
The shallower Widespan profile has a better cover width, thus achieving savings in labour and erection costs.
As a result it is widely used in numerous markets. The Widespan profile can furthermore be factory cranked, curved and bullnosed to a wide range of radii to suit specific requirements. A “stiffening” rib can also be ordered in the flute of the profile specifically to help with the aesthetic appearance and with the removal of oil canning from the broad flute. The technical analyses of the Widespan profile can be seen below.
